KazakhGold Group Ltd11 May 2007 11 May 2007 KAZAKHGOLD ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF THE OXUS' ASSETS Following its announcement on 26 April 2007, KazakhGold Group Limited (LSE: KZG)is pleased to announce that it has completed the transaction with Oxus Gold PLC(LSE: OXS) to acquire Norox Mining Company Limited, 50% of the issued sharecapital of Romaltyn Limited and the right to an option relating to theKarakilise copper deposit licence in Turkey from Oxus Resources Corporation, awholly owned subsidiary of Oxus. The 25% interest in Hatay Madencilik SA hasnot been acquired by KazakhGold. Kazakhgold issued 3,541,666 new ordinary shares as consideration for theacquisition of these assets, representing approximately 7% of the enlarged sharecapital of KazakhGold following the issue of the consideration shares.
