Director/PDMR Notification
Notification and public disclosure of transactions by persons discharging managerial responsibilities and persons closely associated with them
The Company announces that on 11 April 2022, it made conditional awards over ordinary shares of £0.0001 each under the Oxford Nanopore Technologies plc Deferred Bonus Plan 2021 ("DBP"), to those Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities (each a "PDMR") outlined below.

The DBP awards relate to the deferral into shares of 33.3% of the bonuses paid to the PDMRs in relation to the financial year ending 31 December 2021. Under the Company's directors' remuneration policy, at least 33.3% of the annual bonus payable to the directors is settled in DBP awards, with 50% of the relevant DBP award vesting on the first anniversary of the award date and the remaining 50% vesting on the second anniversary of the award date. The shares will accrue a dividend equivalent between the award date and the relevant vesting date.
The number of shares over which the DBP awards were granted was calculated based on a price of £3.82 per share. This is the average closing middle-market share price, as derived from the Daily Official List of the London Stock Exchange, for the five business days preceding the award date.
This announcement is made pursuant to the Company's obligations under Article 19 of the UK Market Abuse Regulation.
