Tulu Kapi Project Update

Nyota Minerals Limited (ASX/AIM: NYO), the gold exploration and development company in East Africa is pleased to update the market on its application for a Mining Licence for its flagship Tulu Kapi gold project in Ethiopia.

Following-on from the update in the Quarterly Results to 30 June 2012, the infill drilling programme, aimed at converting a further 260,000 ounces of Inferred Resources to an Indicated status, is now complete but approximately one quarter of the assay results are awaited. An updated Mineral Resource is expected during September. The new Mineral Resource will be the basis of the Ore Reserve figure on completion of our discussions with the Ministry of Mines on the terms of the Mining Licence, including the associated legal and fiscal framework.

The Minister for the Ministry of Mines has formed a committee to review the submissions made by Nyota to date and following this review, further submissions and supplemental information may be required by the committee before final negotiations on the terms of a mining license can take place. The target for both parties for the issue of the Mining Licence remains the end of September 2012.
