Board appointments

North Midland Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael ("Mike") Holt as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. In addition, Mr Holt will take on the role as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Company.

Mr Holt has significant listed public company board and financial experience. He is currently a non-executive director, and chair of the audit and risk committee, of Schroders Asian Total Return Investment Company plc and a non-executive director, and chair of audit, at Aim-quoted Real Good Food plc.

Between 2010 and 2017, he was CFO of Low & Bonar PLC, an international performance materials group and prior to that, he was CFO of Vp plc, the specialist equipment rental group, for over six years from 2004; both companies were listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Vp, Mike held a number of senior financial positions within Rolls-Royce Group in the UK, USA and Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of The Association of Corporate Treasurers. Mike qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.

At the date of this announcement, Mr Holt had no interests in the Company's issued share capital.

North Midland Construction confirms that no further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority in relation to the appointment of Mike Holt as a director of North Midland Construction PLC.

In addition, following the recent retirement of Steve Brown from the Board, Ian Elliott will replace him as Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.
