In conjunction with the Index Review announcement for the FTSE UK Index Series, FTSE Russell notes the suspension from trading of NMC Health (UK, B7FC076, FTSE 100) from 27 February 2020, with the suspension remaining in effect as of the close on Wednesday 04 March 2020. Consequently, FTSE Russell would like to clarify the following treatment as it pertains to the forthcoming Index Review:Tuesday 03 March 2020 (after market close) - FTSE UK Index Series Review rank date:NMC Health was ranked based on its last traded price of 938.40p and was consequently ranked as an auto exclusion from the FTSE 100 (i.e. a removal from the FTSE 100 and addition to the FTSE 250).Friday 20 March 2020 (after market close):If NMC Health has resumed trading by close of business on Wednesday 18 March 2020, all FTSE UK Index Series review changes communicated on Wednesday 04 March 2020 will be implemented as announced.If NMC Health has not resumed trading by close of business on Wednesday 18 March 2020, NMC Health will be retained within its current index membership (i.e. FTSE 100) over the index review effective date, until such time it resumes trading*. 

If NMC resumes trading on Thursday 19 March 2020 or Friday 20 March 2020, it will be removed from the FTSE 100 (and added to the FTSE 250) with the provision of two days' notice and therefore subsequent to the review effective date*.

* As a result, the FTSE 100 will consist of 101 companies from the review implementation date until the removal of NMC Health; and the FTSE 250 will include 249 companies until the addition of NMC Health.

Once NMC Health resumes trading, FTSE Russell will release a further notice announcing the effective date of its removal from the FTSE 100 and addition to the FTSE 250** providing a minimum of two days' notice.Please Note:** Based on the NMC Health market price (at the close on the first day it resumes trade), if the company ranks below the FTSE 250 exclusion level FTSE Russell will assess its index membership and communicate any further changes appropriately. If NMC Health is ultimately not added to the FTSE 250, the highest ranked company on the FTSE 250 Reserve List will instead be added concurrent with the NMC Health deletion.

The indicative review product files released at close of business on Wednesday 04 March 2020 reflect NMC Health being temporarily retained within the FTSE 100 and are therefore subject to change up to close of business on Wednesday 18 March 2020.

NMC Health will continue to be held within the index at its last traded price and will continue to be monitored in conjunction with the Suspended Companies' rule as detailed within the Corporate Actions and Events Guide.
