Purchase of Shares by a Director

North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust Plc (the "Company") has been notified that Christopher Harwood Bernard Mills, its Chief Executive, has made share purchases of Ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company (the "Shares") as follows:

20 January 2017 2,500 Shares at 2,500 pence per Share

26 January 2017 5,000 Shares at 2,498 pence per Share and 8,551 Shares at 2,500 pence per Share

 31 January 2017 4,949 Shares at 2,495 pence per Share.

Following these purchases, Mr Mills has a direct interest in 3,640,000 Shares (together with a non-beneficial interest in 355,740 shares) representing in total approximately 27.7% of the issued share capital of the Company.
