MySQUAR registered users exceed 7.5m

MySQUAR, the Myanmar-language social media, entertainment and payments platform whose principal activity is to design, develop and commercialise Myanmar-focused internet-based mobile applications, is pleased to announce that as of 12 January 2017, the total number of registered users across all apps and games have exceeded 7.5 million.

This represents an increase of more than 25 per cent of total registered users as compared to 14 October 2016 when the Company had approximately 6 million registered users.

MySQUAR's CEO, Eric Schaer, said: "MySQUAR's user base has been steadily increasing along with the full release and soft launch of various apps and games, including CallHome, Fastsell and ChakraNinja. The diversified user base across the different sectors of gaming, social networking, and increasingly VoIP, and mobile marketplace gives MySQUAR a unique position in the mobile-based value added service market in Myanmar".

While the user acquisition rate has been a valuable metric at the onset, going forward MySQUAR expects to focus on monetisation and revenue updates that represent better indicators of growth."
