GENERAL TEXT AMENDMENT
The following amendment has been made to the Transaction in own shares announcement released on 29 July 2009 at 13:18 under RNS No 4935W.
The third paragraph has been changed as follows:
The number of ordinary shares purchased today [word 'today' inserted] represented 0.7% [previously said 3.0%] of the voting rights attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue prior to such purchases.
All other details remain unchanged.

Transaction in own shares
The Company announces that it has today purchased through Numis Securities Limited 250,000 ordinary shares at a price of 110 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.
Following the above purchase, the Company holds 1,000,000 ordinary shares in treasury and has a total of 32,506,694 ordinary shares in issue, excluding those shares held in treasury.
The number of ordinary shares purchased today represented 0.7% of the voting rights attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue prior to such purchases.
