Mothercare PLC08 December 2005 MOTHERCARE PLC APPOINTS NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR Mothercare plc today announces the appointment of Neil Harrington as GroupFinance Director. He will join Mothercare early in the new year. He succeedsSteven Glew who will be leaving the business at the end of the year. Neil Harrington, 42, joins Mothercare with a strong financial and commercialtrack record in the retail sector. He is currently Finance Director of GeorgeClothing UK, part of Asda/Wal Mart Stores Inc. He is also Chief Financial andAdmin Officer of Global George, responsible for setting up the Global Georgebrand and running it on a day-to-day basis. Prior to joining Asda, Neil was Finance Director of Barclaycard International, adivision of Barclays Bank plc and Group Financial Controller of FrenchConnection Group plc. Commenting on the appointment Ben Gordon, Chief Executive, said: "We aredelighted that Neil Harrington is joining Mothercare.
