Chairman Appointment
The Board of Marshalls plc announces that Mike Davies will be retiring as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, and as a Director of the Company, immediately after the Annual General Meeting on 12 May 2010.
He will be succeeded as Non-Executive Chairman by Andrew Allner, FCA, who was appointed a Non-Executive Director of Marshalls plc in July 2003. Andrew Allner is a Chartered Accountant and is a Non-Executive Director of CSR plc, Northgate plc and The Go-Ahead Group plc.
This change is the first step in the Board's planned succession and refreshment of the Board's Non-Executive Directors in accordance with good corporate governance. Further announcements will be made in due course.
