Issue of Equity

Melrose Resources plc (LSE:MRS) ("the Company"), the oil and gas exploration and development company announces that it has issued 95,810 new ordinary shares of 10 pence each ("New Ordinary Shares") following the exercise of options under the Melrose Resources plc Unapproved Share Option Scheme.

The New Ordinary Shares have been issued and allotted under the existing Block Listing and these shares will rank pari passu with all existing Ordinary Shares.

Following this, the Company has 110,182,698 Ordinary Shares in issue.

The above figure of 110,182,698 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
