Change ofΒ Finance Director
Melrose Resources plcΒ (LSE: MRS) ("Melrose"Β or the "Company")Β the oil and gas exploration and development companyΒ today announcesΒ thatΒ MrΒ Munro SutherlandΒ willΒ step downΒ as the Company'sΒ Finance DirectorΒ on theΒ 31 December 2008 in order to pursue other interests.Β
Melrose is pleased to announce that Ms Diane Fraser will be appointed to succeed Mr Sutherland in the position of Finance Director. Ms Fraser qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1985 and has wide accounting and finance experience in industry with Marconi plc and Vickers plc, in the financial sector with County NatWest WoodMac and in the oil industry with Cairn Energy plc, as well as having worked in the public sector. Ms Fraser has been employed by Melrose since 1999 and is currently the Company's Group Financial Controller.
