APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR
The board of M.P.Evans Group PLC ("the board"), the producer of sustainable Indonesian palm oil, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Ashton as an independent non-executive director. She joins the board with effect from 1 August 2022. Tanya is the head of sustainability at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Global Sourcing, Europe ("WBA") and a board member of The Sustainability Consortium, a global not-for-profit organisation committed to increasing sustainability in consumer products. Tanya has 18 years' experience working in ESG roles, having held senior positions at Silver Spoon British Sugar plc, part of Associated British Foods, prior to joining WBA.
Tanya's roles in the food, beauty and healthcare sectors have included procurement of ingredients and commodities including palm oil, and she has always been committed to sustainable sourcing. This has been recognised through her frequently being invited to speak at sustainability events and awards for her continued contribution, most recently being recognised as an Exemplar in The Manufacturers Top 100 alumni 2021.
Peter Hadsley-Chaplin, executive chairman of the Group, said:

In the previous five years, Tanya Ashton, age 51, who does not have a shareholding in M.P.Evans, has been, and continues to be, a director of The Sustainability Consortium. There is no further information required to be disclosed under Rule 17 or Schedule Two (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
