London, 1 September 2011 - Monitise plc (LSE: MONI) today announces the appointment of Brian McBride to the Board as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Brian was previously Managing Director of Amazon.com in the UK and brings with him more than 25 years experience in the IT industry. He began his career with Xerox and subsequently worked at IBM, Crosfield Electronics, Madge Networks, Lucent, Dell Computers as Vice President, Northern Europe and as Managing Director of T-Mobile (UK).

Mr Brian James McBride, aged 55, is currently a director of Computacenter PLC and has, in the past five years, been a director of Amazon.co.uk Ltd, Amazon.com UK Ltd, Amazon Dev Centre (Scotland) Ltd, Audible Ltd, British Retail Consortium, Celtic FC PLC, DP Review.com Ltd, IMDB Ltd, IMDB Services Ltd and S Three. There are no further disclosures required pursuant to Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies in respect of the appointment.
