Mercury Group PLC28 September 2005 MERCURY GROUP PLC Placing for cash and issue of shares to Advisors Mercury Group is pleased to announce that it has today raised £200,000 from anexisting shareholder of the Company by the issue of 2,285,714 new OrdinaryShares at a price of 8.75p per share. The Company has today also issued 1,088,000 shares to certain consultants inlieu of cash for services rendered, authority for which was obtained at theCompany's recent EGM. These new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existingshare capital in the Company. Application has been made for the new ordinaryShares to be admitted to trading on AIM. It is anticipated that Admission willbecome effective on 4 October 2005.
