For immediate releaseLord Leach13th June 2016 - Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited today announced that Lord Leach of Fairford, a Director of the Company, died on 12th June 2016 after a short illness. Lord Leach first joined the Group in 1983 following a career in investment banking.Sir Henry Keswick, Chairman of Jardine Matheson, said, "We are deeply saddened by Rodney's death. During his 33 years with Jardines he made a significant contribution to the development and expansion of the Group. We benefited immensely from his experience and powerful intellect, and his wise counsel and friendship will be greatly missed.
