MD Medical Group opens dedicated IVF Clinic at Lapino Hospital
21 January 2014: MD Medical Group Investments Plc ("MD Medical Group", "MDMG" or the "Company" - LSE: MDMG), Russia's leading provider of private healthcare for women and children, announces that it has opened a new in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) clinic at its Lapino Hospital.
The IVF clinic in Lapino, in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region, is the newest addition to MDMG's unparalleled network of treatment centres in Russia. From two offices, the clinic has the capacity to oversee up to 1,000 IVF cycles per year and will offer a range of advanced IVF and gynaecology services by highly-qualified and well-respected medical personnel.
MDMG's total investment in the clinic amounted to approximately RUB 30 million. In-line with MDMG's growth strategy, the development of the IVF clinic in Lapino supplements the current network of 11 purpose built healthcare facilities providing IVF treatment, further enhancing the Company's position as the leading provider of fertility and IVF treatment in Russia. In 2013, MDMG administered a total of 5,477 IVF cycles within its network of clinics, an increase of 42% compared to 2012.
