Lavendon Group PLC03 May 2005 LAVENDON GROUP PLC APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Lavendon Group plc ("Lavendon" or "the Company") is pleased to announce theappointment of John Standen as a Non-Executive Director of the Company witheffect from 1 May 2005. He will be a member of both the Audit and Remunerationand Nomination Committees. John, aged 56, is currently Chairman of Reg Vardy plc and Chapelthorpe plc, aswell as being a Non-Executive Director of Financial Objects plc. He is also aTrustee and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Leonard Cheshire. He spent hiscareer in corporate finance and was Chief Executive of BZW Corporate Financebefore retiring from Barclays Bank PLC in 1998. Commenting on the new appointment, Lavendon's Chairman, David Price, said:- "John's knowledge of the City and his wide-ranging experience will enable him tocontribute significantly to the future development and direction of theCompany".
