Transaction in Own Shares

KBC Advanced Technologies plc (the "Company" or "KBC") announces that on 14 October 2014 it purchased 106,000 ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each in the Company, at an average price of 92.5 pence per share, for transfer into treasury to satisfy the future exercise of options. The highest price paid per share was 93.0 pence and the lowest price paid was 92.0 pence per share.

Following the share buy-back KBC's issued ordinary share capital consists of 81,783,531 ordinary shares of which a total of 106,000 ordinary shares are held in treasury. Therefore the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in KBC is 81,677,531 ordinary shares.

The above figure of 81,677,531 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, KBC under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
