JKX Oil & Gas PLC27 June 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 27 June 2007 JKX OIL & GAS plc ("JKX") DIRECTORATE CHANGES The Board of JKX is pleased to announce that Nigel Moore, Martin Miller andPeter Dixon have been appointed to the Board with immediate effect. Nigel Moore, 63, will join the Board as Non-Executive Director. A former partnerat Ernst & Young, Mr Moore holds non-executive positions on the boards of FTSElisted Hochschild Mining plc and Vitec Group plc and the AIM listed AscentResources plc and TEG Group plc. Martin Miller, 59, will become Technical Director. Mr Miller joined JKX in 1994as Chief Geologist and has held a number of senior positions in the Companyincluding directing JKX's Georgian operations. Most recently, he has assumedresponsibility for JKX's ventures in Russia. He has over 30 years of experiencein the oil and gas industry, including senior positions with Mobil and BP. Peter Dixon, 52, currently Commercial Executive responsible for the Company'soil and gas marketing and sales, has been appointed to the Board as CommercialDirector. Mr Dixon joined JKX from Schlumberger in 1995 and has occupied anumber of senior positions within the Company, including General Director ofPoltava Petroleum Company, JKX's wholly owned Ukrainian subsidiary. John Mapplebeck, Non-Executive Director and Robert Dall, Technical ServicesDirector are stepping down from the JKX Board and leaving the Company. Lord Fraser of Carmyllie, Chairman, said: "I am pleased to announce the appointments of Nigel, Martin and Peter to theBoard of JKX. Their combined track records and extensive experience will proveto be a substantial asset for JKX in the future.
