Non-executive Director Appointment
The Board of JJB Sports plc ("JJB" or "Company") is delighted to announce the appointment of Lawrence Christensen CBE as a Non-executive Director of the Company. He will take up his role on 1 November 2011 after completing a consultancy project with the Australian retailer, Coles.
Lawrence has had a distinguished career as an operations and supply chain director with Safeway plc and more recently Sainsburys plc and will bring a wealth of experience in these and other areas to the Board.
Mike McTighe, Chairman, commented: "Lawrence's operational knowledge, as well as his experience as a director at other retail companies will be warmly welcomed at JJB. The Board and I are all very much looking forward to working with him."
