JJB Sports PLC12 October 2005 JJB SPORTS PLC APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Board of JJB Sports PLC ("JJB"), the UK's largest sports retailer, ispleased to announce the appointment of Roger Best as a Non-Executive Directorwith immediate effect. Roger Best, aged 53, was formerly Non-Executive Director and then ExecutiveChairman of The John David Group PLC from 2002 to 2004. Prior to this he held anumber of appointments at Reebok International Limited over a period of 10years, ending as Senior Vice President for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.Prior to this, he held a number of appointments as Director at several PLC's. JJB confirms that there is no other information to be disclosed pursuant toSection 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in relation to the appointment.
