JJB Sports PLC31 July 2006 31 July 2006 JJB Sports Plc ("JJB") Issue of Ordinary Shares JJB announces that, pursuant to the resolution passed at the Annual GeneralMeeting held on 27 July 2006 authorising the directors to offer the holders ofordinary shares in JJB ("Ordinary Shares") the right to elect to receive furthershares of that class in respect of the final dividend for the 52 weeks to 29January 2006 (the "Scrip Dividend Alternative"), it has allotted 5,228,245Ordinary Shares. Shareholders in JJB representing 56.4 per cent of the issued share capitalelected to take further Ordinary Shares instead of cash. The Ordinary Shares issued pursuant to the Scrip Dividend Alternative will rankpari passu in all respects with the existing issued Ordinary Shares. Applicationwill be made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange forthose shares to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the LondonStock Exchange's Main Market for listed securities and it is expected thatdealings will commence on 9 August 2006.
