JJB Sports PLC03 January 2008 3 January 2008 JJB Sports PLC Retirement of Non-Executive Director JJB Sports PLC ("JJB") today announces the retirement of Andrew Thomas asNon-executive Director, with effect from 1 January 2008. Andrew Thomas was appointed a Non-executive Director of JJB in October 1994ahead of its IPO on the London Stock Exchange. The Board of JJB wishes to thankAndrew for the considerable contribution he has made to the growth of JJB overthe last 13 years and wishes him every success in his other continuing businessinterests. Consideration has been given for a number of years to Andrew's retirement datein light of A.7.2 of the Combined Code on Corporate Governance. It has beenmutually decided that now is the most appropriate time for his retirement,particularly in view of the other changes to the Board during the summer of2007.
