Global Brands S.A. ("Global Brands" or the "Company") Appointment of Director The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerwyn Williams as ChiefExecutive Officer of the Company with immediate effect. Mr. Gerwyn Llewellyn Williams (aged 64) is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow ofthe Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and is a member of the EnergyInstitute. Mr Williams holds 102,772,728 Ordinary Shares in the Company representing29.08% of the issued share capital of the Company. In addition, Mr Williams hasprovided the Company with a £300,000 loan which he may at any time elect toconvert (in whole or in part) into Ordinary Shares in the Company at the lowerof (i) £0.003 per Ordinary Share or (ii) a price equating to a 10% discount onthe market price at the date of conversion. Mr Williams is chairman of and, together with his associates, owns UK OnshoreGas Limited, which owns the entire issued share capital both of UK MethaneLimited and (via its subsidiary Thistle Gas Limited) of Coastal Oil & GasLimited (the Subsidiaries), which together hold a 50% interest in 13 petroleumexploration and development licences covering 1,181 sq. km. in the UK. The Global Brands' wholly owned subsidiary, Gas Exploration Finance Limited("GEF"), has a framework financing agreement with Coastal Oil and Gas Limitedand UK Methane Limited (together, the "Gas Companies") whereby GEF has beenappointed, on a non-exclusive basis, to co-invest to finance the Gas Companies'exploration and development operations. Ms Fiona Kinghorn has stepped down from the Board with immediate effect due toincreasing pressure from other commitments.
