Imagination Technologies Group PLC21 May 2007 21 May 2007 Imagination Technologies Group plc Licensing Partnership Update Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE:IMG; "Imagination") - a leader inSystem-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP") - reports that FreescaleSemiconductor ("Freescale"), a global leader in the design and manufacture ofembedded semiconductors, has utilized Imagination's PowerVR(R) MBX graphics coretechnology in its advanced MPC5121e multi-core processor launched today fortelematics, industrial control and consumer applications. This product results from the multi-use licensing of PowerVR MBX technology toFreescale, previously announced, and represents the expansion of therelationship outside of the mobile market and into automotive semiconductors. The MPC5121e processor integrates PowerVR MBX and VGP Lite 2D/3D accelerationwith Freescale's Display Integration Unit (DIU) to help reduce overall systemcost while increasing graphics capabilities significantly compared to previousgenerations of competitive parts. The graphics core is integrated withFreescale's e300 core, built on Power ArchitectureTM technology. Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives royaltyrevenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP shipped by partners.
