Imagination Technologies Group PLC07 February 2008 7 February 2008 Imagination Technologies Group plc Another PowerVR SGX graphics core licensed to NEC Electronics Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE: IMG, "Imagination"), a leader inSystem-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP"), reports that NEC ElectronicsCorporation (TSE: 6723), a world-leading semiconductor company, has licensed asecond member of Imagination's POWERVR(R) SGX graphics core family under amultiple-use license arrangement. The core will be integrated into future NECSoCs. This announcement extends the highly successful and growing relationship betweenthe two companies. In April 2006 NEC licensed Imagination's POWERVR SGX 535 corewhich it is deploying in a number of devices including its NaviEngine 1single-chip system for car navigation, announced in October 2007. The newagreement will extend the markets addressed by NEC devices incorporating POWERVRSGX. Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license feesand royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP shipped by partners.
