Infrastructure India plc, an AIM quoted infrastructure fund investing directly into assets in India, announces the appointment of Graham Smith as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. In addition to his appointment to the Board, Graham Smith will be appointed to the Company's Remuneration and Nominations Committee.

Graham Smith has more than 30 years' experience in the financial control, life assurance and investment funds sectors having held many managerial positions in the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom, including in his current role as Chief Executive Officer of FIM Capital Limited, the Company's administrator. In recent years, Mr. Smith has served as a director of a number of companies which are or were quoted on AIM, including Advance Energy plc, East Balkan Properties plc, Tau Capital PLC, Glenwick plc and Trinity Capital plc. Mr. Smith is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BA degree from Cambridge University.

In addition to Mr. Smith's appointment, the Company intends to appoint an additional Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board in due course.
