Board Changes

Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings plc ("IDS" or "the Company"), a leading producer of specialist diagnostic testing kits for the clinical and research markets, gives notice of a number of proposed changes at board level which reflect the Board's desire to ensure a stable plan of succession for the management of the business.

On October 1st 2010 Roger Duggan will step down as Chief Executive Officer, remaining on the Board as Deputy Chairman and Head of the Business Development Group.

At the same time Ian Cookson, Chief Operating Officer, will become Chief Executive Officer and IDS will look to appoint a new Operations Director to take up the role previously fulfilled by Ian.

Commenting on the Board changes Roger Duggan said:

"These changes reflect the enormous positive transformation we have effected at IDS in recent years. I became the senior executive at IDS following an MBO in 1996. We were much smaller then and I could give full reign to my entrepreneurial energies to drive growth, whereas now we are the larger and more complex international IDS Group, I am 14 years older, and the challenges facing the senior executive are different and still more demanding. I am looking forward to spending the next few years leading the dynamic international team that is the Business Development Group. These changes will play to the strengths of both Ian and me, and I wish him well in the role of CEO."

Commenting on the Board changes Chairman David Evans said:

"Ian's succession to the CEO position has been part of a planned succession process that both Roger and I have undertaken. I believe Ian has both the leadership and management skills necessary to take IDS on to its next stage of becoming the global leader in its chosen field (of bone and mineral disease) within the IVD industry."
