G-Cloud Award and New Contract Win

Ideagen PLC (AIM: IDEA), a leading supplier of Information Management software to highly regulated industries is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a place on G-Cloud 6 by the Crown Commercial Service and has secured its first contract through this framework.

The G-Cloud framework is a Government initiative which aims to promote and more easily facilitate the adoption of cloud based software applications in Central Government and the wider public sector. Since the framework was launched in 2012, public sector organisations have invested more than £467m in cloud based solutions in order to improve performance levels and reduce IT costs. 

Ideagen has been awarded a contract, worth an initial £0.2m under G-Cloud 6 by Public Health England ("PHE"), an Executive Agency sponsored by the Department of Health. PHE employs over 5000 health professionals and scientists and is focussed on the protection and improvement of the nation's health and wellbeing.

PHE will use Ideagen's clinical content software, dart/KW across its 8 UK research laboratories to provide secure storage and reporting for critical clinical information.
