ITE Group plc announces that Marco Sodi, the Company's Chairman, has informed the Company of his intention to step down from its Board following the end of the current financial year due to his increasing business commitments elsewhere. Mr Sodi will retire as Chairman with immediate effect and from the Board on the 11 October 2017.
During the search for Mr Sodi's successor Neil England, an existing Non-executive Director of the Company, will be Chairman. As Mr England is already a Non-executive Director of the Company, there are no additional disclosures required under Listing Rules 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) in relation to his appointment.
Marco Sodi, said:
"The Company has recently announced its new strategy and, as my other business commitments are taking an increasing amount of my time, I think that this is the right time for me to step down from the Board. I have enjoyed working with everyone at ITE, and wish the Company the very best of success for the future."
Mark Shashoua, Chief Executive Officer, said:
"Marco has provided invaluable support to me and the Management Team through the design and launch of ITE's new strategy. We wish him well for the future."
Neil England, said:
"On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Marco for his significant contribution to ITE over the last five years. As we enter the implementation stage of our recently announced strategy we will seek to bring new skills to the Board, including the recruitment of a new Chairman."
