UK COAL PLC ("UK Coal") - DIRECTORATE CHANGE
The Board of UK Coal Plc announces that Kevin Whiteman will retire as a non-executive director with effect from 31 March 2011.
Jonson Cox, Chairman, commented: 'Kevin Whiteman has been with UK Coal as a non-executive director for the last four years during which time he has served as a member of our Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. He is currently the Chairman of our Safety Committee. We wish him well for the future."
This follows the major changes to the Board and governance structure in late 2010. UK Coal has already commenced a search to find suitable candidates to join the Board. The company anticipates appointing a successor to Kevin as chair of the Safety Committee by the end of April.
