HMV Group plc today announces the appointment of Dominic Myers as Managing Director of Waterstone's, with immediate effect.
Gerry Johnson is today leaving both Waterstone's and the Board of HMV Group plc.
Simon Fox, Chief Executive of HMV Group, commented:
"I am delighted that Dominic is taking up the role of leading Waterstone's. He has played an important role in the strategy to transform the Group over the last three years, and I am confident that his deep knowledge of our businesses and the book industry will be crucial to improving the performance of Waterstone's."

About Dominic Myers
Dominic Myers, 47, has been HMV Group Development Director since 2007, joining the Company one year prior to this to lead the integration of Ottakar's into Waterstone's.
Previously, he was Managing Director of Blackwell UK, a specialist book retail chain, where he led a successful change programme to improve financial performance. He has also held senior positions at Somerfield and Hasbro. He began his career in retailing with Marks & Spencer.
He is a graduate of Oxford with an MA in English Language and Literature, and lives in Oxford with his wife and three daughters
