HMV Group PLC28 September 2006 28 September 2006 HMV Group plc today announces the appointment of Christopher Rogers as NonExecutive Director. He joins the HMV Group plc Board with effect from 1 October2006 and will Chair its Audit Committee and he will be a member of each of theNomination and Remuneration Committees. Christopher Rogers (46) is Finance Director of Whitbread PLC, where he has beensince May 2005. Prior to joining Whitbread PLC, he was Group Finance Director ofWoolworths Group plc and Chairman of Woolworths Group Entertainment andWholesale Publishing businesses. He qualified as an accountant with PriceWaterhouse and joined Kingfisher Group as corporate finance manager in 1988.Subsequent appointments included Group Financial Controller at Kingfisher plc,Finance Director of Comet Group plc and four years as Commercial Director atComet. Carl Symon, Chairman of HMV Group, said: "I am delighted that Chris will be joining our Board. He brings a strong retailand commercial background combined with the respect of the financial andinvestor community and will undoubtedly make a valuable contribution to HMVGroup."
