Hill & Smith Hldgs PLC06 March 2007 Hill & Smith Holdings PLC Building and construction products group Hill & Smith Holdings PLC (Hill &Smith) has today announced the appointment of Clive John Snowdon as anon-executive director. He will be joining the board of Hill & Smith immediatelyfollowing the Annual General Meeting to be held in May 2007. Mr Snowdon, age 53, has been the Chief Executive of Umeco plc (Umeco), apublicly quoted company, since 1997. Umeco is a leading provider of supplier outsourcing services to the aerospaceindustry. He led Umeco's repositioning in its global markets after the setbackto the world's aerospace industry which followed the attacks in the USA on 11September 2001. Mr Snowdon is a chartered accountant, who joined Umeco after a career whichincluded senior roles with aerospace suppliers including Vickers plc, BTR plc,Hawker Siddeley and Burnfield plc.
