Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Hidong Estate PLC ("Hidong" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaik Othman Bin Hussain as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 27th July 2022.

Shaik Othman, graduated with a Diploma from the Institute of Bankers, London and has over 49 years of banking and venture capital experience. He started off his career with Malayan Banking Berhad, Penang, Malaysia in 1973 and worked in various department such as accounts, credit and loans, securities. He joined Bolton Finance Bhd, Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia in 1985 and served as the branch manager until December 1996.

In January 1997, he was appointed as the Investment Manager in a venture fund firm managing a venture fund and was responsible for deal evaluation and overseeing all the investment portfolios. From December 2013 to May 2019, he managed private equity funds investing in initial public offering of companies to be listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the stock exchange of Malaysia.

He held the position of liaison head in a licensed auction house specialising in asset disposal management of machinery and equipment and was recently appointed as a director in the said company.

Demise of Non-Executive Director

The Company has been notified that Diong Chin Teck, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, passed away on 2 December 2021.
