The directors of Biofutures are pleased to announce thatΒ on 4 November 2008Β they received a letter dated 31 October 2008 fromΒ theΒ Ministry of International Trade and IndustryΒ confirming the grant of a refinery licence toΒ ZurexΒ Corporation Sdn. Bhd.,Β the Company'sΒ wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary,Β for the production ofΒ Refined Bleached DeodorisedΒ Palm Oil and Palm Fatty Acid DistillateΒ ("Refinery Licence"). TheΒ Refinery Licence will,Β subjectΒ inter aliaΒ to completion of due diligence, enable Biofutures to build aΒ palm oil refinery plant on the 14 acres of land acquired by Biofutures at POIC Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysia and make progress towards fulfilling its investing strategy, as described to the shareholders of Biofutures in a circular dated 20 May 2008.
