Appointment of Executive Director

Greatland Gold plc (LON:GGP), the London Stock Exchange AIM listed precious and base metals exploration and development business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gervaise Heddle as Executive Director of the Company with effect from today's date.

Mr Heddle's role with Greatland will now expand from Non-Executive director to include strategic planning, day-to-day business management and market communications. He will work alongside Callum Baxter, also Executive Director, in the overall operational management of the Company.

Andrew Bell, Chairman of Greatland Gold commented: "The Board of Greatland Gold are delighted to announce the appointment of Gervaise Heddle as an Executive Director of the Company.

Gervaise joined Greatland Gold in May as a Non-Executive Director and has been increasingly involved in working alongside Callum as Greatland pursues existing interests and investigates new opportunities.

This elevation to Executive Director status reflects the increasingly significant role Gervaise is undertaking at Greatland and is another positive step as the Company works proactively to create significant value for shareholders."

Information on Gervaise Heddle

Gervaise Heddle was appointed as a Non-executive director of the Company on 27 May 2016. There has been no change to the information that was announced at that time in relation to his current and past directorships and partnerships.

There are no further disclosures required in accordance with Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
