("Fortune Oil" or the "Company")

NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTOR 

Fortune Oil has been notified today by a Director of the Company of his purchase of ordinary shares of 1p each ('ordinary shares') in the Company:

Mr Trevor Bedford, Senior Independent Director, purchased 88,000 ordinary shares at 11 pence per share on 1 September 2008, representing 0.0045% of the issue capital of Fortune Oil. 

Mrs Shirley Bedford, a connected person to a Director, being the spouse of Mr Bedford, also purchased 88,000 ordinary shares at 11 pence per share on 1 September 2008, representing 0.0045% of the issue capital of the Company. 

Mr Bedford now has an interest in a total of 2,182,958 ordinary shares, representing 0.1132% of the issued share capital of Fortune Oil.

The above interest is beneficial interests of the respective person and/or their connected person(s). 

These notifications are made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) and (c) of the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules.
