UK Government Framework Agreement
Falanx Group Limited, an intelligence, security and cyber defence provider working with blue chip and government clients worldwide, is pleased to announce its Cyber Defence business, Falanx Assuria, has entered into a framework agreement with the UK Government G-Cloud.
The G-Cloud framework allows all UK Public Sector budget holders to procure IT services from the listed pre-approved vendors, with no limit on contract value and without the need to run a full tender or competition process. A position on the framework is only awarded if a number of stringent obligations are met; the Group is evaluated on capability and security.
Through the framework, Falanx Assuria can now easily engage with Government clients who are adopting cloud computing. This is a rapid growth market due to the requirement for Government organisations to demonstrate their adherence to rigorous standards including GPG-13, the guide for Protective Monitoring of networks.
The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) estimates Public sector Cyber spend to be £1,052m in 2015 and around 10 - 15% of this is spent on monitoring. This framework agreement allows the Group to access the public sector market for monitoring which is in total estimated at £100m - £150m in 2015.
The Group's services provide a significant value proposition in the market and have been designed to be both easily understood and adopted by Government buyers addressing their key compliance requirements. There has already been interest from potential customers and the Board believes that the release of the framework will generate further appetite for the Group's services.
Falanx Assuria services are available for purchase on the Digital Marketplace from the 2nd February 2015.
