Flomerics Group PLC05 January 2005 5 January 2005 Flomerics Group PLC ("Flomerics" or the "Company") Appointment of Chief Operating Officer The board of Flomerics Group PLC, supplier of analysis software to electronicsindustries, is delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Christopher Carter,aged 45, as Chief Operating Officer with effect from 10 January 2005. It isexpected that Gary will be appointed to the board of Flomerics Group PLC soonafter. As announced in our interim results in July this year, David Tatchell, thecurrent CEO, intends to relinquish the position before he reaches the age of 60in 2006. It is intended that Gary will take over as CEO within this time scale. Gary joins the Company from ANSYS, Inc, a major US-based Computer AidedEngineering ("CAE") company, where he was Managing Director and Vice Presidentof European Sales. David Tatchell, Chief Executive, commented: "Gary has an outstanding 10 year track record in sales leadership and seniormanagement in the CAE industry, and, added to this, brings an in-depthappreciation of the engineering and technical aspects of Flomerics' business.Most importantly, Gary's experience in growing a significantly larger softwareanalysis business will be invaluable to Flomerics in achieving its growthstrategy."
