APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE DIRECTOR  

The Board of First Derivatives plc ("First Derivatives" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment to the Board of Graham Ferguson as Finance Director from 1 September 2008. 

Prior to joining the Company Graham has held senior roles with KPMG, Bank of Ireland and Silverwood Property Developments Limited. At KPMG he gained extensive experience of corporate finance and forensics, finishing his time heading up the Corporate Recovery and Turnaround unit for Northern Ireland. While at KPMG he was seconded to assist in the restructuring of an engineering PLC for two years where he acted as Group Finance Officer. Graham then moved to the Bank of Ireland were he was a senior member of the Business and Acquisition Finance Team which specialised in leveraged lending for Corporate acquisitions and mergers.  Graham is currently a director of Silverwood Property Development Ltd, a property development company specialising in both the commercial and residential sectors.  Graham is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Commenting on the appointment, Brian Conlon, Managing Director said "Graham will play a valuable role in helping the executive team execute our strategic plan.  His experience in corporate finance and restructuring will be invaluable to the company as it seeks to scale its operations both organically and through potential acquisitions" 

Robert Graham Ferguson, aged 36, is currently a director of Silverwood Property Developments Limited 

There are no other details required to be disclosed under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
