Update on proposed disposal

Further to the announcement made on 15 March 2010 in relation to the proposed disposal of the Nicole Farhi business to OpenGate Capital ("March Announcement"), it has now been confirmed that the proposed disposal is a Class 1 transaction under the Financial Services Authority Listing Rules and is therefore subject to shareholder approval.
A circular containing a notice of a General Meeting, a proposed resolution approving the transaction to be considered at that meeting and further details of the transaction will be sent to shareholders in due course.
Save for the confirmed requirement to seek shareholder approval for the proposed disposal, there has been no significant change affecting any matter relating to the proposed disposal contained in the March Announcement and no other significant new matter has arisen which would have required to be mentioned in that announcement.
