Planning Permission Granted for East Midlands well

The Directors of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc are pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for the drilling of the West Firsby-9 well by Lincolnshire County Council.

West Firsby-9, which will be a sidetrack of West Firsby-8, is anticipated to be drilled as soon as practicable in the core producing part of the field. This forms a part of the ongoing programme of work to increase production levels in the West Firsby and Crosby Warren Fields.

Paul Barrett, Managing Director of Europa, said `This planning decision allows us to press ahead with the planning of this key development well. Continued strong oil prices underline the importance of Europa's ongoing oil production enhancement programme.'
