Emerald Energy PLC26 April 2006 EMERALD ENERGY PLC ("Emerald" or the "Company") Directors' Shareholdings Emerald announces that on 26 April 2006, it granted Tranche J Share Options overordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company ("Share Options") to certaindirectors, under the Emerald Energy Plc Discretionary Share Option Scheme ("theScheme"). The exercise price for each of the Share Options is £3.25 per shareand no payment was made in respect of the grant of these Share Options. Under the Scheme, the new Share Options may be exercised between 26 April 2007and 26 April 2011.
