Change of Accounting Reference Date

Independent Resources plc (AIM: IRG), the AIM quoted natural resources company announces that it has changed its accounting reference date from 30 September to 31 December with immediate effect.

The Directors believe that changing the Group's year-end to December will align IRG with:

(i) the reporting timeframes adopted by the majority of AIM quoted upstream oil and gas companies; and

(ii) conventional financial and tax reporting calendars in the Mediterranean basin countries where IRG plans to acquire reserves and production, providing future administrative benefits to the Group.

IRG will announce unaudited interim figures for the six months ending 30 September 2013 by 31 December 2013, followed by audited Report and Accounts for the 15 months ending 31 December 2013 by 30 June 2014.
