Notification of Treasury Stock
Debenhams plc (the "Company") announces that on 29 August 2013 it carried out the following transactions:
Transferred 44,616 ordinary shares (formerly held as treasury shares) to participants of The Debenhams Executive Share Option Plan following the exercise of awards under that Plan;
Following the above transactions, the Company holds 46,741,688 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 1,240,101,753.
The total number of voting rights in the Company, excluding treasury shares, as at 29 August is 1,240,101,753. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Debenhams under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
