DDD wins two 3D awards from International 3D Society

Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD; OTCQX: DDDGY), the 3D solutions company, announced that its Yabazam® and TriDef® 3D Mobile apps each won a prestigious 3D Product of the Year award from the International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society (the Society).

The Society is the industry trade organisation for content creators and professionals whose mission is to develop the arts and technologies of 3D, advanced imaging and its innovators. The Best 3D Products of 2013 award is given to outstanding new 3D products in the marketplace that are driving the industry forward. The Society's 3D Technology and New Products Awards will be held September 18 at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

The Yabazam 3D app is a free download for Samsung and LG 3D TVs, which account for over 40% of the 3D TV market. In July 2013, the app was also introduced to the Google Play store for Android™ 3D tablets. It streams free 3D movie trailers and offers over 80 titles for viewing with a monthly subscription in the US and on a per title rental basis in 16 additional countries. Earlier this month the Yabazam app topped one million 3D streams.

Launched in 2009 as the first online portal to offer high definition 3D movies for PC users, Yabazam was designed to overcome the lack of 3D content available to viewers and the lack of distribution available to 3D content creators. The app was launched in 2012 and has been downloaded 470,000 times and now exceeds 2,000 user sessions per day.

The TriDef 3D Mobile app is a comprehensive 3D content solution for glasses-free 3D smartphones and tablets. It automatically converts videos, photos and games from 2D to 3D, providing unlimited 3D entertainment. Over 60 of the latest popular Android mobile games are supported, including "Angry Birds", "Blood and Glory" and "Cordy". It also enables access to the library of original 3D programming available from Yabazam.
