ISSUE OF SHARES
DiamondCorp, the southern African diamond mining and exploration company, announces that in accordance with the general authority approved by shareholders at the general meeting held on 8 January 2010, the Company has issued 285,000 fully paid ordinary shares ('new shares') of 3p par value to Cenkos Securities plc in consideration for commission and corporate advisory fees with respect to the placing of 6,000,000 shares in November 2009.
Following the issue there will be 47,516,995 shares on issue. The new shares represent 0.60% of the Company's issued share capital and will rank pari passu with all existing shares.
The Company has applied for the new shares to be listed on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange and Alt-X. The admission of the shares to trading on AIM is expected on 27 January 2010.
The new shares have been issued at 10 pence per share (the equivalent of R1.21 per share) at the prevailing exchange rate of R12.11 to the pound.
Financial effects
The issue of the new shares will have no impact on basic loss per share, headline loss per share or tangible net asset value per share.
