BOARD CHANGES

The Board of Countrywide plc is pleased to announce the following changes:

Jane Lighting will be appointed Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Jane has spent her career in broadcast media, including Chief Executive Officer of Channel 5 Broadcasting for five years until 2008. She was formerly Non-Executive Director of Paddy Power plc and is currently Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of Trinity Mirror plc.

Richard Adam will be appointed Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect and he will be Chairman of the Company's Audit and Risk Committee with effect from 1 August 2014. Richard has been Group Finance Director of Carillion plc since April 2007 and before then he was Group Finance Director of Associated British Ports Holdings plc. He is Non-Executive Director of Wincanton plc and was previously Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of SSL International plc and Zattikka plc. Richard qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG Audit plc in 1982.

Sandra Turner has decided to step down as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Commenting on the changes, David Watson, Interim Chairman, Countrywide plc said:

Jane brings considerable experience with her, particularly in the commercial area and Richard brings significant technical expertise through his career in finance. There is no other information to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13R of the UKLA Listing Rules in respect of the appointment of Jane Lighting or Richard Adam.
